He Will

Cover- conceal, hide, protect, secure,to muffle

Refuge- shelter, safety, protection from danger

Faithfulness- loyal in affection, constant, reliable

The Holiday season is nearly upon us and for some it is a joyous, delightful time, yet for others it is a season that is difficult and my prayer is that you would comfort in the words below.

“God is too good to be unkind and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart.”

-Spurgeon

Some of you are anticipating the holiday season, yet there is a pain in your heart, a loss that is so keenly felt. It may be the first, third or fifth holiday season without that dear loved one, whom the Father has taken home. Oh my friend, my heart hurts for you and the cry of my heart is that you would find REFUGE in the arms of “Jehovah-Rophe” The Lord who Heals you. -Exodus 15:26 I pray that the Father would give you an abundant portion of Grace and Strength through this holiday season.

For some of you, this season of waiting and learning to TRUST, isn’t exactly where you thought you would find yourself this holiday season. Oh my friends, it is my prayer that even in this season of Learning to Trust, that the Faithfulness of the Father would be more real to you than ever before. Just listen to these words: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
-Lamentations 3:22‭-‬24

For some of you the Holiday season is one you tend to dread, whether it be becausr of strained family relationships, your own life status, or whatever the case may be. Oh my friend, you ARE NOT ALONE! The Father sees, hears and feels your pain, He’s gently knocking on the door of your heart, asking, “will you allow me to heal those wounds, mend those relationships and carry that burden?” I pray that you would feel the COVERED by the Love of the Father unlike ever before. He Loves you and just let these words bring Comfort and Healing to your heart. “And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
-2 Corinthians 6:18

And in the wilderness, where you have seen how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you went until you came to this place. Deuteronomy 1:31

“No faith is so precious as that which lives and triumphs through adversity. Tested faith brings experience. You would never have believed your own weakness had you not needed to pass through trials. And you would never have known God’s strength had His strength not been needed to carry you through.” -Spurgeon

REST

Does the valley seem too dark?

Does the Mountain look too tall?

Does that next step seem too scary?

Does the task before you just seem too daunting?

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
~Matthew 19:26

Our lives and schedules get hectic, our patience wears thin and soon chaos breaks forth. My friends, let’s reevaluate, Are we resting in Him, the One who gives Ultimate REST?

So wherever you find yourself at this very moment, maybe as a Mother you are just weary. May I just a moment and bless you, sweet sister you are doing an incredible job, I believe motherhood is a calling, a very important one and you are impacting young souls for the Kingdom. May this scripture bring comfort and Rest to your weary spirit: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” ~Matthew 11:28‭-‬30

“The process of shaping the child…shapes also the mother herself. Reverence for her sacred burden calls her to all that is pure and good, that she may teach primarily by her own humble, daily example.” ~Elizabeth Elliott

Perhaps you are in a season of waiting, and you wonder if that prayer will ever be answered. Will the time ever come that God says, “Go”? Waiting is a season that is tough, but it’s also a time of growing in your walk, drawing closer to the Father, resting in Him and may you find comfort in this precious promise: But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

“Rest time is not waste time. It is economy to gather fresh strength… It is wisdom to take occasional furlough. In the long run, we shall do more by sometimes doing less. -Charles Spurgeon

It is okay to Rest! The Father gives the best embrace and in Him there is rest!

Comparison or Contentment

The secret to contentment is . . .
not comparing
not competing
not complaining. Unknown

Comparison: the act or instance of comparing; the quality of being similar or equivalent.

Contentment: a state of happiness and satisfaction

This journey we travel isn’t always easy, there are paths to travel that are extremely tough. Each of us have different valleys we walk through and different scenarios we face, and if we dare be honest with ourselves, its easy to compare the journeys and be less content with where God has us.

Let’s take a look at several different scenarios that might move us compare our journey with our neighbors: •While in the valley, walking through a difficult season it is easy to look at others who have it “seemingly easier” in outward appearance, and think, if only my journey were that easy. • We hear an amazing testimony from a friend and suddenly our own testimony seems very insignificant because we didn’t experience what that person did. •Someone’s gift/talent is used to glorify the Father, they are walking in what the Father has called them to and because of you not having that particular gift or calling, you think you are pretty untalented or not as important.

The person you are comparing yourself to in Scenario 1, is not equipped to walk the journey you are currently on, only the Father holds the pen in your story and you are the One who must be obedient to walk in what He calls you. May He give you Grace abundantly to walk forth in your journey! But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Ephesians 4:7

The testimony you heard from Scenario 2 was one of tremendous breakthrough and healing, you rejoice, yet it left you wondering why your testimony couldn’t be more significant. My friend, your testimony is very significant, Jesus died on the cross for you! The testimony you heard that seemed so significant, I would dare to say, that person has walked some very dark, very painful and lonely times themselves, once again the Father holds the pen in their story as well. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
Revelation 12:11

Honestly, scenario 3 is a reality for most of us, but may I challenge you to walk in the calling and gifts the Father has given you, you are very important to the Father and He wants you to glorify him in what He gives you! “For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” Matthew 25:29

A spirit of calm contentment always accompanies true godliness. The deep peace that comes from deep trust in God’s lovingkindness is not destroyed even by the worst of circumstances, for those Everlasting Arms are still cradling us, we are always “under the Mercy.” -Elizabeth Elliott

May the Father give you Grace and Anointing for each season of your life. Rest in Him!!
