“Fear Not” (part 2)

Are you aware that in the Bible, the words “Fear Not” or “Be Not Afraid” are written 365 times? That is a daily verse for every day of the year, isn’t God just so good to remind us in His Word daily, to not fear, but trust? And in just several of the verses I want to take a look at in this blog post, I want you to take note of a theme that’s just absolutely incredible, and was huge blessing to me.

Remember the story of Zechariah, he was in the temple, as a priest his job was to burn incense and the angel of the Lord came to him and:

And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. -Luke 1:12‭-‬13

And think of Mary, the mother of Jesus, the angel of the Lord appearing to her:

But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. -Luke 1:29-31

Think of the shepherds in the fields, heeding their flocks of sheep and Suddenly there was a bright light, the Glory of the Lord:

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. -Luke 2:10‭-‬11

My Brother, my sister have you caught the theme yet? Each time they were told, “DO NOT BE AFRAID” or “FEAR NOT”, it was followed with good news! Amazing good news that would radically change their lives! And as I read these passages I felt the Father speak to my heart, “Child, do you realize that so many times because of the fear in your life, you miss out on the incredible things I want to show/do in your life?”

Recently on a day that I was really struggling with fear, it was about to paralyze me, and I was crying out to the Father to help me and He brought this verse to my mind immediately:

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~Isaiah 41:10

Once again a powerful message of Good News!

So whatever you are facing, may I challenge you with something? What message is the Father wanting to speak to you when you are feeling afraid? He is a loving Father who loves you so much❤

“He Makes it Beautiful”

Do you find yourself in a season where you begin to wonder, what good could possibly come out of this particular season? Let me encourage you with some incredible news! You are Not Alone in this season of Life.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you” -Isaiah 43:2

Also may I remind you that every single thing the Father has ever made, is good! There’s absolutely nothing He’s ever made that’s imperfect.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
-James 1:17

If something is imperfect or not good, it’s because it’s not of God! But once again there’s good news, He Restores! And when He restores, it may hurt through the process, but I can assure you of two things! Our FATHER is faithful and He restores everything to perfection!

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” -Philippians 1:6

Consider Jesus hanging on the cross, death staring Him straight in the face, yet He was surrendered to the Father’s will, dying for our sins.

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed” -Isaiah 53:5

Three days later, He arose! The victory over death now won and because of that glorious resurrection! We now have Hope, Hope beyond the grave. Freedom, freedom from sin and bondage! Hallelujah!

So again, I remind you! He Makes ALL things beautiful for His glory! It may not feel Glorious in the moment, but my dear brothers and sisters! Stay faithful, keep your eyes on the prize

You take what is
And you make it beautiful
When love floods in
We’re resorted forever more
With breath that brings the dead to life
With words that pierce the dark with light
Only by the blood are we set free.
With mercy strong to carry shame
And nail it to a tree You alone
Hold the power to redeem

The Hurt and The Healer

It was early morning, the stars were still shining, the moon so full and bright, and the first light of dawn was just coloring the eastern horizon. All was peaceful and quiet, but that was about to be shattered!

Inside The house, a young lady was fast asleep, but suddenly she awoke with a start! Almost Breathless by the pain and the intense ache she felt within her heart, a pain unlike she had ever felt before! Whatever was this and what could possibly be happening to her? As she lay there, quite uncertain what could be happening, the tears began to stream down her young face.

The pain was so real and so intense! Her chest felt like it had a gaping, raw wound that was steadily growing larger as her heart was ripped from her body, shredded into millions of pieces and then demolished completely with the biggest and heaviest piece of equipment in the world.

The tears continued and so did the questions. What was happening? Why this intense ache and pain deep within? How could she possibly go on? What about the shattered pieces of her heart that were hardly recognizable as the life-giving organ it was intended to be? What good could come from any of this?

Through the tears and pain she heard the Father speaking to her, in the most gentle and loving voice; “Daughter, will you allow Me to Heal? Will you trust me with the shattered pieces? Will you accept my Love?”

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
~Psalms 34:18

Totally spent of all energy and battle weary, she spoke a barely audible, “Yes” and that very instant she felt the presence of the FATHER! It was so real and she felt the Father’s LOVE embracing her. In that embrace, she felt Loved, Secure and at rest. A rest so beautiful, so full of peace, and so refreshing. As she drifted off to sleep, she felt strong arms ever so gently rocking her.

Brothers and sisters, we all have had things happen to us that cause hurts, pain, and scars. I know it sounds scary to walk through those painful things, in fact some of them are so painful that we have locked them into this little room in our heart and have vowed to never let anyone see it.

May I encourage you, there is a Healer that can heal every painful wound that we have There is a great Physician that can make ALL things new, even the most shattered and broken parts within us!

Will you allow Him to have the key to that room within your heart that has been locked for so long? Will you allow Him to hold you as you walk through that pain and find freedom?

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord , thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
~Jeremiah 29:11

The Father loves you❤

“I am not a theologian or a scholar, but I am very aware of the fact that pain is necessary to all of us. In my own life, I think I can honestly say that out of the deepest pain has come the strongest conviction of the presence of God and the love of God” ~Elliott
