“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord , who made heaven and earth.” -Psalms 121:1-2
•|Mountain|• a large natural elevation of the earth’s surface rising abruptly from the surrounding level
•|Valley|• a low area of land between hills or mountains
That place on the mountain or that place in the valley, to us they may seem so opposite but may I challenge you to consider how similar they really are!
•|The Mountain|• ▪the place to worship and bask in the Father’s presence ▪the place of victory attained by complete surrender to the Father ▪the place that feels closer to the Father.
•|The Valley|• ▪the place to worship and bask in the Father’s presence ▪the place where complete surrender is needed so victory can come ▪the place to draw closer to the Father
Both present the opportunity to be God Conscious (being aware of the Father’s presence) versus self conscious (where the focus is on ourselves)
The valley being the place where our need for more of the Father is recognized on greater levels. Our focus needs to be God Conscious, so we don’t focus on ourselves. Also His leading is needed, because the next step isn’t always clear, and this is where our Faith can be strengthened and these precious words are true
“For we walk by faith, not by sight” ~2 Corinthians 5:7
The Mountain being the place where we recognize how incredible the Father’s presence is and how we need to stay God Conscious so we don’t place our focus on just that Mountain top experience, but on the One who led us to Victory!
“In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also”
~Psalms 95:4
So wherever you find yourself, in the valley or on the mountain. May the words from the prophet Isaiah bring peace and comfort to your spirit.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” ~Isaiah 41:10
Keep on pressing towards the Goal!
